According to the financial reporter, a recent bi-annual independent research study by Smart Money People revealed that the overall average lender rating for UK mortgage lenders reached a record high of 83.7% in the first half of 2024. This represents an increase of 0.8% from the second half of 2023. Building societies were the highest scored sector at 85.7%, followed closely by lifetime lenders at 85.5%.
